The unforgettable rhythm of one of the most popular Marley’s songs has been choosen for a satirical and viral video signed by the activist and comedian Hisham Fageeh, to support Saudi women in their challenge against the law that denies them the right to drive (Saudi Arabia is the only country in the world with such a prohibition).
The recent call to action to demonstrate against the ban, taking the wheel, produced serious tensions within the Muslim kingdom, to the extent that activists asked women not to drive.
However the news had already spread and many people expressed their solidarity to women subjected to this chauvinist and sexist restriction. Among them Alaa Wardi and Hisham Fageeh who opted for humor. In the end you know, irony will save the world.
